Chemistry and environment Sector committee at a glance

The core task of this sector committee is to determine rules for the application of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for testing laboratories with different scopes within the areas of chemistry and environment, but also where there are overlaps of scopes with other sector committees. This cooperation in the determination of rules can avoid multiple assessments by conformity assessment bodies. Also within the scope of the committee are proficiency testing providers, producers of reference materials and inspection bodies. Established subcommittees:

  • Subcommittee: Specialist Module for Water, Soil / Contaminated Sites and Waste
  • Subcommittee: Immission Control / Dangerous Goods / Air
  • Subcommittee: Sampling

The Sector Committee on Chemistry and Environment is made up of representatives of the associations of conformity assessment bodies and representatives of power-conferring authorities of the federal states in the environmental sector.
