Product and Installation Safety | Telecommunication | EMC division

This division works on accreditations that fall within the scope of 14 European directives or regulations and is the responsibility of ZLS, the Central Authority of the Länder for Safety Engineering. It also deals with accreditations falling into the area of active medical devices that are subject to supervision by ZLG, the Central Authority of the Länder for Health Protection with regard to Medicinal Products and Medical Devices. These accreditations are in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065.

In this department, the cases of testing laboratories (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025), certification bodies for products (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065) and inspection bodies (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020) cover the following subject fields: lifts, pressure equipment, simple pressure vessels, potentially explosive atmospheres and storage facilities for flammable liquids, hazardous goods, portable pressure equipment, pipeline systems, systems requiring monitoring, high-pressure gas lines.

The cases of testing laboratories (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025), certification bodies for products (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065) as well as inspection bodies (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020), reference material producers (DIN EN ISO 17034) and proficiency testing providers (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043) cover the following subject fields and activities: analytical material testing, load tests, mechanical-technological tests, environmental behaviour, material properties that change over time, other material parameters, non-destructive testing.
