New leadership for the Accreditation Service
On 1 September 2026, Tim Fuchs will take over as Head of the DAkkS Accreditation Service. He succeeds Ina Stubenrauch, who led the Accreditation Service from its establishment in 2022 until her retirement at the end of 2025.
„I am very much looking forward to this new role and the responsibility that comes with it. My aim is to further develop the Accreditation Service together with my colleagues and to place an even stronger focus – both internally and externally – on the ‚service’ aspect of the department’s name. Good communication with the technical departments and, above all, with our clients is particularly important to me. Together with them, I want to help continuously improve processes within the Accreditation Service and further strengthen DAkkS as a modern and efficient accreditation body. In my view, good solutions emerge where technical expertise, efficient processes and continuous dialogue come together“, emphasises Tim Fuchs, Head of the Accreditation Service.
Experience in laboratory practice and quality management
Tim Fuchs has been working at DAkkS since March 2023. Before joining DAkkS, the Berlin native worked, among other things, in research and development and as a lecturer and laboratory manager in beverage analysis and sensory analysis. As a quality management officer and lead assessor for a leading international quality competition, he gained experience at the interface between technical competence, quality management and quality assessment.
Since joining DAkkS, he has headed up Service Unit AS 2. In this role, he has gained extensive knowledge of supporting and managing accreditation cases and became familiar with DAkkS’s structures and processes through close collaboration with the technical units.
In his new role, Tim Fuchs is responsible for the Accreditation Service and thus for a key area concerning the implementation and further development of accreditation cases.
