Old rule

Rule 71 SD 0 001 withdrawn

Important milestone in the restructuring of the DAkkS body of rules
Press Release,

With its publication in the Federal Gazette on 4 April 2022, the determination status of the old rule 71 SD 0 001 was superseded. At its meeting on 22 February 2022, the Accreditation Advisory Board (AKB) had passed a resolution to this effect. The outcome of the subsequent departmental coordination was also positive. The old rule was then withdrawn by the ministry responsible, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), with effect on 4 April 2022.

The withdrawal of the old rule is an important milestone in the restructuring of the DAkkS body of rules. Just a few weeks ago, Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) published rule R-17011. This rule is at the “top” of the future DAkkS body of rules and essentially replaces the obsolete rule 71 SD 0 001. The withdrawal of the old rule has long been a contentious issue for the Accreditation Advisory Board, as has the planned restructuring of the DAkkS body of rules.

DAkkS is confident that it can now quickly proceed with the next steps in the further reorganisation of the DAkkS body of rules together with the Accreditation Advisory Board, with a view to ensuring that accreditation in practice is uniform and transparent.
