DAkkS announces new online events in English for non-European conformity assessment bodies

New web seminars for organisations based outside Europe

The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) is excited to announce a new series of English-language web seminars in 2026, aimed at expanding knowledge and understanding of accreditation requirements for organisations outside Europe.

DAkkS is committed to providing transparent, accessible and insightful training on accreditation requirements, fostering deeper understanding and compliance with international standards. These web seminars offer a unique opportunity to engage directly with experienced DAkkS staff, who will provide firsthand insights and practical information.

Two different types of events will be offered in 2026.

Free web seminar: "Ready for DAkkS Accreditation – Understanding the Fundamentals for Organisations Outside Europe"

This introductory web seminar is designed for conformity assessment bodies outside Europe, including, for example, laboratories, verification bodies, and certification bodies. The event will provide a comprehensive understanding of the DAkkS accreditation process, international regulations and key requirements.

Participants will be guided through the legal framework, necessary documents, associated timelines, and costs, as well as the benefits of DAkkS accreditation. A dedicated Q&A session at the end of each seminar will give attendees the opportunity to ask specific questions and gain further clarity on their unique accreditation needs.

Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required.

Web seminar: "ISO/IEC 17025 in Focus: A Practical Orientation for Testing Laboratories"

This in-depth seminar will provide a detailed overview of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard and its specific requirements for testing laboratories outside Europe. DAkkS experts will share valuable insights and practical guidance to help participants understand how to navigate the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.

This interactive one-day session gives participants the opportunity to engage directly with a DAkkS expert. The event is designed for both accredited and non-accredited testing laboratories seeking a better understanding of the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Why is DAkkS accreditation available to organisations outside Germany?

While DAkkS primarily focuses on businesses and institutions within Germany, we also provide accreditation services to conformity assessment bodies located outside the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). If your organisation is based in a country outside Germany and the EU/EEA, DAkkS may offer accreditation in accordance with our programmes and available capacities.

For organisations within the EU/EEA, DAkkS can only act in exceptional cases, in compliance with EU Regulation (EC) 765/2008 and EA document 2/13.
