Bernd Kowalski new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DAkkS
Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) has a new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The members of the Supervisory Board elected Bernd Kowalski as their chairman at their meeting on 1 December 2022. The election of the new chairman was necessary after Prof. Dr. Manfred Hennecke left the group as planned at the end of July.
New chairman Bernd Kowalski heads a nine-member Supervisory Board whose members are delegated by the federal government, industry and the federal states.
“As Chief Executive Officer of DAkkS, I’m very much looking forward to working together with the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Bernd Kowalski brings valuable expertise to the committee, not least by virtue of his extensive experience in leading positions within the federal administration,” says Dr.-Ing. Stephan Finke. “I would also like to thank Dr. Thomas Holtmann, who has headed the Supervisory Board on an interim basis over the past few months and who, as before, will again support DAkkS as first deputy chair.”
