Structure of the department
This department is divided into the subject fields “Occupational safety / health protection” and “Health care”.
Accreditations and conformity assessment bodies
The focus is on the technical support of accredited certification bodies that operate in the certification areas of occupational safety and public health, for management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17021-1, for persons in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 and for products or services in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065.
The following certification schemes are currently within the remit of the “Occupational safety / health protection” subject field:
- Management systems: ISO 45001, BS OHSAS 18001, SCC/SCP and MAAS-BGW
- Persons Safety, health and environmental protection (SHE) personnel
The “Health care” subject field currently includes the following certification schemes:
- Management systems: ISO 13485, EN 15224, ISO 15378, DIN SPEC 91020
- Products/services: DIN 33961, RL 90/385/EWG, RL 93/42/EWG, RL 98/79/EG
Benefits of accreditation
This accreditation not only certifies that accredited bodies have the competence for their conformity assessment, it also independently confirms maintenance of this competence by means of regular assessments.
