Upcoming publication of the revised accreditation standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065
The accreditation standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065 (with limited amendments) are currently being revised and are scheduled for publication later this year. Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) requests that applications for standard conversion are submitted only after official publication by International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), followed by the subsequent publication of the DAkkS conversion announcement.
New versions of the accreditation standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 are expected to be published in the near future. DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065 is also expected to be reissued in the first half of 2026 with a change. The ISO is currently preparing the standards for publication, after which they will need to be harmonised with EU requirements and translated into German.
DAkkS prepares for conversion
DAkkS is currently preparing to update its forms and rules. Once the revised standards have been officially published, appropriate training for DAkkS assessors will also be required.
In this context, DAkkS kindly requests everyone's understanding that no applications for standard conversion will be accepted until the transition to the new revisions has been completed.
DAkkS will keep all parties involved up to date. Once the standards have been published by ISO and the Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (DIN), a comprehensive announcement with detailed information on the changes will be published on the DAkkS website. DAkkS apologises for any inconvenience caused by these necessary adjustments and thanks all affected parties for their cooperation.
