QI-Digital Forum 2025: creating momentum for the digital future of global quality infrastructure
On 8 and 9 October 2025, the QI-Digital initiative, with the participation of Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS), invites you to its fourth forum in Berlin. International experts from the worlds of politics, business, science and academia will discuss how a digital quality infrastructure creates trust, enables innovation and ensures progress. Participation is free – in person or by livestream.
Trust in digital quality systems
“Bits, Bytes and QI – Building TRUST. Enabling INNOVATION. Securing PROSPERITY.” This is the motto of this year’s QI-Digital Forum, focusing on the question “What is quality worth in today’s world?” The QI-Digital initiative, an association of leading stakeholders in the German quality infrastructure, including Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS), shows how digital quality systems can contribute to greater safety, sustainability and competitiveness.
With high-level keynotes, interactive discussions and practical panels, the conference offers a space for discussion and orientation in times of profound technological change.
Program highlights
This year, the QI-Digital Forum program will be held in German and English for the first time.
Items on the agenda include:
· Frameworks for trustworthy AI
· Smarter quality assurance through data models and digital certificates
· The importance of international dataspaces and the digital product passport (DPP)
There will also be a focus on how digital tools such as machine-interpretable standards and digital certificates can increase the efficiency of industry and state actors. Last year, with the digital accreditation symbol, DAkkS successfully introduced a tool that enables correct verification of accreditation in the digital space, laying the foundation for a global paperless trading system.

Susanne Kuch, consultant for digitisation policy in quality infrastructure and QI-Digital coordinator at DAkkS, will moderate this year’s panel discussion “Operationalizing the AI Act”.
New roadmap as a catalyst for digital transformation
The QI-Digital Forum will present the findings of the “Roadmap for the digital transformation of quality infrastructure”, published by the initiative and drawn up with the active participation of DAkkS.
The roadmap describes key areas of action and guidelines for the digital transformation of the quality infrastructure. The goals: to reduce bureaucracy, facilitate compliance, take the pressure off companies and skilled workers, and promote innovation with a view to strengthening Germany as a business location in the long term.
Interested parties still have time until the end of September to comment on the current first draft of the roadmap and contribute their perspective: External Link to the roadmap
