DAkkS is a participant in the “Alliance for Cyber Security”
The goal of the “Alliance for Cyber Security” (ACS), a cooperative platform of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), is to strengthen Germany’s resilience as a business location against cyber attacks. With immediate effect, Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) is now part of this strategic alliance.
In recent years, cyber attacks have become more and more frequent, posing a growing threat to every company and organisation in Germany. The techniques used to circumvent cyber defences are also becoming more sophisticated, and cyber security is therefore playing an increasingly important role in protecting sensitive information. For organisations such as DAkkS, it is becoming more and more important to invest in cyber security in order to protect themselves against cyber attacks and minimise the associated risks. The term cyber security refers not only to pure technology, it also covers for example people, processes and regulations.
DAkkS joins the “Alliance for Cyber Security”
DAkkS is committed to playing an active role in the ACS network in the future. “The continuing growth of networking in the digital space is increasing the need for a common understanding of security standards. In today’s world, joining the Alliance for Cyber Security is an essential part of any effort to work together to combat the ever-growing number of threats in the digital space and protect our systems and data effectively,” says Dr. Stephan Finke, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle. In addition to contributing its own expertise to the Alliance, regular reporting on the cyber security situation and warnings about current cyber risks, as well as the direct exchange of information with the other participants, are matters of great interest to DAkkS.
The Alliance for Cyber Security
The cooperative platform “Alliance for Cyber Security” was founded in 2012 by the BSI and Bitkom. Nationwide, the alliance now numbers more than 7,000 institutions and companies of all sizes and in all sectors among its members. This diversity guarantees a lively exchange of ideas and information for the benefit of all involved. Within the framework of the ACS, the BSI also works closely together with numerous partners and multipliers to promote cyber security. In addition to the latest cyber security warnings, participants are provided with information in the form of documents, web talks and podcasts on a wide range of topics relating to IT security.
