In recent years, DAkkS has also actively participated in the ongoing development of basic rules of EA peer evaluation, the system of reciprocal evaluation of national accreditation bodies. In addition, DAkkS staff members also participate in the evaluation of other accreditation bodies as team members or in leading roles as team leaders. DAkkS therefore makes an important German contribution to the maintenance of the European and international accreditation system.
International committee work
In addition to its statutory mandate, DAkkS also assumes other responsibilities with a view to further developing the accreditation infrastructure worldwide. As a national body, for example, it represents Germany’s interests within the European and international accreditation system through intensive committee work.
Commitment worldwide
DAkkS is actively involved in the bi-annual general assemblies and assumes responsibility for important functions in the management bodies, technical committees and working groups of EA, IAF and ILAC. DAkkS is thus represented at all levels of technical work, including in secondary working groups, task force groups and technical networks. It contributes its know-how and experience to the compilation, development and identification of international regulatory documents for accreditation.
