Immission Control – Noises and Vibrations Department at a glance

Accreditations and conformity assessment bodies

The object of accreditation is the determination of noise and vibration in the environment, in particular within the framework of the immission control module. The testing laboratories receive confirmation of competence for the implementation of measurements in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 in the following areas:

  • “Immission control module” taking into account the requirements of the 41st Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV)
  • Criteria of the Federal/Regional Working Group on Immission Control (LAI) and DIN 45688
  • Determination of noise and vibration in the neighbourhood and at the workplace

Testing laboratories should be proficient in standards and guidelines, including in particular TA-Lärm for noise and the DIN 4150 series for vibration. Under the 41st BImSchV, only bodies with a notification in accordance with Section 29b BImSchG (German Federal Immission Control Act) may carry out measurements within the scope of the immission control module.

Benefits of accreditation

With its accreditation, DAkkS confirms fulfilment of the normative requirements with regard to conformity assessment activities to the conformity assessment bodies, and thus their technical competence.
