Focus of the technical unit
This technical unit accredits conformity assessment bodies that principally carry out inspections and provide testing services. However, it also handles accreditations of certification bodies for products, processes and services as well as reference material producers in the area of material testing. These accreditations are therefore in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065.
All offices in the technical unit have in common their technical work and activities in the areas of analytical material testing, load testing, mechanical-technological testing, environmental behaviour, material properties that change over time or other material parameters.
