Energy, environment and supply and disposal Information about this sector

Role of accreditation in this sector

Everyone is talking about climate policy, the energy transition and environmental protection. Our accreditations in the field of activity of energy, environment and supply and disposal make an important contribution to tackling these pivotal social challenges.

For example, accredited validation and verification bodies play an important role in the implementation of the European Emission Trading System. Competent inspection bodies are important in the expansion of renewable energy – for example in terms of plant safety.

In the disposal of water and waste, the analysis of hazardous substances or their disposal, the services accredited in this segment also discharge crucial responsibilities for the benefit of all of us, ranging from the analysis of soil or pollutants to the clearance of explosive ordnance.
