Consumer Protection | Agriculture | Chemistry | Environment division

This division accredits laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and producers of reference materials in the areas of consumer health protection including food safety, the agricultural sector, chemistry and the environment. The accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is carried out in accordance with the harmonised standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020, DIN EN ISO 17034 and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043, mainly in the legally regulated area but in some cases also voluntarily.

Drinking Water Monitoring

In addition to the analysis of drinking water, the “Drinking Water Monitoring” department is responsible for the analysis of bathing waters and the analysis of swimming pool and bathing pool water. The accreditation of testing laboratories is carried out in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, of inspection bodies in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 and of proficiency testing providers in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043.

The Soil / Contaminated Sites department is divided into three technical fields: analysis in accordance with the specialist module “Soil and contaminated sites”, the legally unregulated area of soil analysis and sampling in the area of soil/contaminated sites.
