Committees
Balanced involvement of interested parties
DAkkS ensures its objectivity and impartiality through the representation of interested parties in various committees. The work of these committees makes a important contribution to the development and maintenance of the principles and fundamental arrangements in place in the German accreditation system.
Advisory Board as an advisory body in questions of accreditation
The Advisory Board advises and supports DAkkS with a view to ensuring the objectivity and impartiality of DAkkS in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17011. The committee is made up of representatives of interested parties.
The Accreditation Advisory Board (AKB) was established in 2010 at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action on the basis of the Act on the Accreditation Body. The Accreditation Advisory Board is not a DAkkS committee. Its role is to provide advice and support to the Federal Government and DAkkS on issues related to accreditation. Seven sectoral technical advisory boards support the Accreditation Advisory Board in its work. Management of the office of the Accreditation Advisory Board was assigned to the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).
