Accreditations and conformity assessment bodies

The “Chemical measurands” subject field deals with the accreditation of calibration laboratories that perform calibrations in calibration areas including among others: mass fraction of elements, measuring instruments for electrolytic conductivity, pH value or liquid volumes and liquid densities, and viscosity of liquids. Accreditations in this area are granted in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The “Medical measurands” subject field deals with the accreditation of bodies that act as both calibration laboratories and medical reference measurement laboratories. Accreditations are granted in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 in conjunction with DIN EN ISO 15195. The accredited calibration areas covered here are amount-of-substance concentration and mass concentrations as well as catalytic activity concentrations.

Benefits of accreditation

These accreditations confirm competence in the implementation of calibrations and medical reference measurements in the areas set out above.
