Working at DAkkS In a nutshell
Who we are
As the national accreditation body of the Federal Republic of Germany, we are both an authority and a company at the same time, and we combine the best of both worlds: As an entrusted body, we have a clear, highly relevant statutory mandate and we act in the interests of the nation and the economy, and of protecting society and the environment.
At the same time, we operate on an international market with networks around the world, and as a modern service provider are nevertheless always close to our customers. Our employees appreciate this special position that DAkkS occupies.
What we do
From product safety testing to energy management systems to blood analysis in medical laboratories – when products, systems or services are tested for compliance with certain standards and regulatory requirements, DAkkS also takes a close look.
Our mandate is to assess the technical competence of laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies. In a nutshell: we verify the verifiers. We therefore create trust in the performance of others and help to make the everyday lives of many people safer.
How we work
Given their experience and expertise, our staff and assessors come first. What sets us apart: we examine issues carefully, ask critical questions, make our assessments independently and our decisions responsibly.
And because we are a service provider with a statutory mandate, it is also important to us to be open, fair and transparent in our dealings. We take pride in that – and you could become a part of it.
