Advisory Board Committee at a glance

DAkkS has established an Advisory Board both as an advisory body and for the control of independence and impartiality, which is made up of a balanced mix of representatives of the interested parties.

Duties of the Advisory Board

The Advisory Board advises and supports DAkkS with questions of accreditation. To ensure the objectivity and impartiality of DAkkS in accordance with the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17011 standard (section 4.4), the Advisory Board ensures that

  • Interested parties participate effectively while maintaining balance
  • The activities of DAkkS are carried out in an impartial and non-discriminatory manner
  • All staff, the Accreditation Committee and all other DAkkS committees act objectively and free from any undue economic, financial and other pressures that may compromise impartiality
  • The exchange of information is possible for interested parties

In addition, the Advisory Board states its position on the annual report on the maintenance of impartiality produced by the DAkkS Executive Board.
