Listings of accredited bodies

Looking for information on accredited conformity assessment bodies? The two listings found below can assist you.

1.) Accredited bodies (DAkkS)

This database contains all accredited bodies that received their accreditations from either DAkkS (since 1 January 2010) or one of its predecessor companies DGA, DACH, DAP, DATech, TGA and DKD (until 31 December 2009).

These accreditations fall within the scope of the multilateral agreements (MLA/MRA) of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and the international accreditation organisations IAF and ILAC. The associated mutual recognition of accreditations among the member states warrants the acceptance of conformity assessments conducted by these bodies in Europe and around the world. It does not include accreditations for the areas "Reference material producer" and "Proficiency tests providers", for which there is no MLA/MRA.

2.) Accredited bodies (other)

This database lists bodies whose accreditations were awarded by German accreditation bodies until 31 December 2009, and which are not listed in 1.) but have been monitored by DAkkS since 1 January 2010 pursuant to Section 13 (1) of the Accreditation Body Act (AkkStelleG). In addition, this listing also includes accreditations that were awarded by DAkkS without reference to the multilateral agreements.

These accreditations are not within the scope of the multilateral agreements (MLA/MRA) of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and the international accreditation organisations IAF and ILAC.

They are

  • Accreditations that have been awarded by federal or state accreditation bodies on the basis of EU law (e.g. directives) or other national regulations and possibly in line with international agreements regarding mutual recognition (MRA) ("regulated area"),
  • DAkkS accreditations for which assessments have commenced prior to 7 October 2010 by public authorities that are entitled to issue notifications, as well as
  • other listed accreditations by private accreditation bodies.
